Overview
The 37-year-old singer helped his Take That bandmate and X Factor judge Gary Barlow whittle down his final acts from eight to four, but said that he wouldn’t have the heart to do it full time.
“I’d like to be in Gary’s position for one night, but not four months,” he told The Mirror.
“I was sat thinking ‘wow, this is great’. But that’s all it is, a great day. I’ve got my personality to look after, if I was doing it I would desensitize myself to the emotion.
“I would find it difficult, who wants to break a 16-year-old’s heart?”
But he expects great things from Gary. Describing him as, “the biggest thing in the universe when it’s on a roll”, Robbie added, “He’s not temperamental and emotional. He does the job and leaves.”
