Australian musical theatre star Rhonda Burchmore has publicly spoken about her time with Rolf Harris and says while he was "flirtatious" he was also "harmless'.
Ms Burchmore is quoted in the UK Daily Mail today saying that she met Rolf in 1992 while she was doing 'Hot Shoe Shuffle' in Melbourne. "He was very bold because he was quite flirtatious in front of my husband," she told the Daily Mail. 'I had a few drinks with him but my husband was more worried than I was at the time".
New allegations are expected to be made public about the accusations of child abuse against Harris over the next 24-hours. An Australian woman, Lauren Martell, of Sydney and a second woman in Wollongong have spoken to Scotland Yard in the past few weeks. The Wollongong woman has told Scotland Yard of "an incident" but she has also given an interview to the Channel Nine television network in what currently appears to be blatant cash for comment production.
Australian entertainment legend Rolf Harris has been reported to be tied to cases of child abuse involving British entertainer Jimmy Savile, who died before charged against him could be laid.
In April Harris was arrested but no charges against him were laid. Entertainment reporter Peter Ford today tweeted "Explosive developments in the Rolf Harris investigation. Exclusive. Across Australia & NZ tomorrow".
Rhonda Burchmore was less concerned over her meeting with Rolf. "I certainly didn't go home and lose sleep over it," she said.
