Fans will be pleased to hear that crooner Sandi Thom is back to full strength after collapsing from exhaustion last week.
Speaking at the launch of the 2006 BT Digital Music Awards, the feisty Scottish singer, who shot to fame this summer with her single, I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker, said: "I had a bit of, as they say in Scotland - a peely-wally moment and fainted.
"It was just purely from low blood sugar levels. I was knackered. It was early morning TV. I had no idea what happened and I just found myself on the floor. I've just had four or five days off. I went to Dorset and slept and went for walks in fields and cows and stuff."
The 25-year-old warbler played a short set of hits to the crowd, including her latest single, What If I'm Right?
Looking out over London from the 34th floor of the BT Tower, Sandi joked: "This is the highest gig we have ever played."
The Digital Music Awards, planned to be televised by Channel 4, will be held on October 3.
Fans will vote for 14 of the awards including Best Artist, Best Podcast and Best Music Magazine.document.write(unescape("
