SANDI THOM has composed a song full of expletives aimed at journalists who have rubbished her music.
The Scottish singer has posted the song - which contains the phrase "f*** you" thirteen times - on her website.
Thom said the song, entitled Ode To Learmonth, is aimed specifically at DJ and comedian Andrew Learmonth who recently put her down.
Thom was reportedly angry by an article in her local paper in which Learmonth said he hated her "awful" music.
Responding to his criticism, she penned the song, which comes with the warning: "NOTE: This song contains language that some people may find offensive."
The country and western-style clip includes the lines: "F*** you, if you don?t like me/ F*** you if you don't see things the way I do/Because I have been working all my life to play these songs to you/If you don't like them, f*** you.?
Mr Learmonth today said he was delighted that his criticism had motivated Sandi to write a song for him.
He said: "It is a bit of an over-reaction, but I think it is one of the best songs she has written. Everyone I have spoken to says they can't get it out of their heads.
"She is someone who deliberately goes out to get as much press attention as possible, and if you do that, there will be some people who might say that you are not actually doing very much. I think Sandi hasn't quite realised that. It's not like I don?t like her, I just didn't like her album."
Thom said: "So, I decided to compile a little response to Learmonth in the form of a musical ditty... and while I'm at it this one goes out to all the journalists that use me as a sh** shoe shiner and think my music sucks.
"Next time you're looking for a hook for your drivel mate, take a cheap shot at someone else. Hey Mr DJ won't you turn the music up......"
