Steven Tyler will keep making music until he's "broken and battered". The 67-year-old star has been frontman of rock band Aerosmith since 1970 and has recently turned his hand to country music, releasing track Love is Your Name from his upcoming solo album.
Before he finishes the record Steven has reunited with his bandmates for the Blue Army Tour, which started on June 10 in San Diego and ends August 7 in Canton, Ohio. Despite there being tensions, he's enjoying being back on the road.
"When Joe [Perry, lead guitarist] gets up in my sh*t about something, I say, 'Don't squat with your spurs on.' It's a band, and it's a family," Steven explained to Rolling Stone. "I'll do it until I come screeching to a halt, all broken and battered and can't stand up anymore. I'll scream, 'Yee-haw, what a ride!'"
There has been speculation surrounding the group on whether they'll record another album to add to their previous 15 successful offerings. Their last release was 2012's Music from Another Dimension! following an eight year hiatus and it marked their last album under their Sony/Columbia Roads contract, but Steven is unsure about the future.
On top of music Steven dabbled in TV with a stint as judge on American Idol. Last month news broke that the talent show has been cancelled, with the upcoming 15th season being the last. He joined in 2010 for two seasons, but doesn't think the show would have continued even if he did stay.
"I think it just ran its course. I love Keith Urban. I got a little peck on the cheek from JLo when I played the other night. That's all a man needs once a year," he laughed.
