Steven Tyler has performed his first solo show and it was a little bit country.
Tyler is preparing for the release of his debut solo album. The first single, Love Is Your Name, was released earlier this year and peaked at number 19 on the US country chart.
On Thursday, 67-year Tyler transformed from rock star to country star at an intimate performance at the Melrose Ballroom in New York filmed for Front and Center.
Tyler's guests and backing band at the show included Nuno Bettencourt, Marti Frederiksen, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Lindsey Lee, and Eric Paslay. Bettencourt, of the band Extreme, joined with Tyler for a version of his Extreme hit More Than Words.
Tyler's debut solo album for Big Machine Records is yet to be allocated a release date but will not be ready until 2016.
