These days Taylor Swift is pretty much unstoppable. Her career is red-hot. Her latest album, the aptly titled Red, sits at the top of the charts after selling more than one million copies in its first week, and she's poised to burn up the road come 2013 on her massive tour.
But that doesn't mean she doesn't someday dream of settling down. The Cosmopolitan cover girl shares her dreams to one day be a mom in the latest issue. "Being a mom full time, doing everything for my kids, having a bunch of them. One day, I'm sure," she says. "But that's the only other thing that could be as thrilling for me as doing this."
But, for any potential guys who might want to be the fella that Swift shares the rest of her life with, she says that there has to be butterflies before she can make a lifetime commitment to someone. "I need that unexplainable spark...I just need to see someone and feel 'Oh, no, uh-oh,' " she says in the issue, out Tuesday. "It's only happened a few times in my life, but I feel like if I was gonna be with someone forever, it would be because I saw them and I thought, 'Oh, no.' "
Listening to her latest album release, fans can track the ups and downs of her love life. And, she says that in those ups and downs, she's learned a lot about her rules for romance. "I've learned when to get out. I've never wasted too much time with the wrong person and that's one thing I'm proud of," she says before sharing some other things she's learned about love.
"I can't deal with someone wanting to take a relationship backward or needing space or cheating on you. It's a conscious thing: It's a common-sense thing. ...I just don't ever want to end up in a relationship that isn't fair ever again," she said, also revealing, "I've had a lot of dark and twisty situations happen, enough to realize that when someone exhibits signs of evoking a dark and twisty relationship and dark and twisty feelings, it's not interesting to me."
