Taylor Swift is apparently desperate "to be loved".
The 22-year-old country crooner recently broke up with 18-year-old college student Conor Kennedy after dating for nearly four months.
Before her split from Conor, Taylor has had a string of failed relationships with Hollywood stars John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner.
The musician reportedly comes on too strong.
"All Taylor wants is to be loved," a source told Us Weekly magazine.
"She overworks relationships. She puts so much pressure on them, it ultimately kills the deal. Then she's baffled as to why it didn't work."
Taylor is known for writing songs about her tragic love affairs.
Music takes precedence over everything in her life.
"She's a prisoner of her work. It takes up all of her time," the source detailed.
"It's like she's analysing love like a scientist, rather than just feeling it. It's ironic that she is a multimillionaire from singing about love."
As Taylor grows, her approach to romance is also maturing.
"With each relationship, she's less and less naive about the reality of dating," the insider said.
"She is starting to realise it's not this imaginary fantasy with princes on horses sweeping you away."
