Some of country music's finest walked the carpet at the 2010 CMA Awards on Wednesday night, rocking styles that were definitely Nashville glam and even some that were Hollywood chic.
Proving she's growing into quite a stunning woman, Taylor Swift looked red hot, literally, on the carpet in her strapless Monique Lhuillier red gown, complete with thigh-high slit. But she kept the look charmingly Swift with dangling diamond earrings and her signature curls swept back.
Carrie Underwood, who served as the night's host, wore quite a lot of dress on the carpet. Her slate gray Talbot Runhof gown certainly made a statement with its abundance of tulle ruffles. Her pal Kellie Pickler went the more traditional Nashville fashion route, donning a gold sequined gown by Pamella Roland that left very little to the imagination thanks to its low-cut neckline.
Gwyneth Paltrow looked "country strong" in her ice-skater-esque one-shoulder dress, which like Swift's had a thigh-high slit. The gray, pink and lavender dress sparkled. Her "Country Strong" co-star Leighton Meester went bohemian unkempt for the show in her halter Pucci gown, sky-high platforms and her hair tousled.
Then there were the Hollywood wives. Nicole Kidman rocked a Dolce & Gabbana lace, sleeved, knee-length dress in white, which she paired with red platforms. Meanwhile, Katherine Heigl draped herself in a strapless navy satin gown by Farah Angsana.
The night's big winner, Miranda Lambert, looked pretty in pink in her custom-made Sherri Hill over-the-shoulder gown. And "Dancing With the Stars" alum and country singer Julianne Hough went the Carrie Underwood route in her couture deep gray, sequined, one-shoulder, tiered organza gown by Georges Chakra Couture.
