Taylor Swift, Gwyneth Paltrow To Perform At CMA Awards

Gwyneth Paltrow is out to prove she's got the skills to play a fallen country star in her 2011 movie "Country Strong." The Oscar-winning actress is set to take the stage as a performer at the CMA Awards on November 10.

Paltrow will perform the film's theme song, "Country Strong," on the show along with Vince Gill, according to Billboard.com. And Paltrow is taking her movie role seriously enough to learn how to play instruments herself. "I had to learn how to play guitar, and I took singing lessons. It was a real challenge, but I felt like I pretty much pulled it off," she told.

This is not Paltrow's first endeavor into professional singing though. She had a hit song with Huey Lewis back in 2000 called "Cruisin'," from the movie "Duets."

Taylor Swift will also take the stage at the CMAs. Swift, who is up for Female Vocalist of the Year, is set to release her latest album, Speak Now, on Monday.

Previously announced CMA Awards performers include Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Sheryl Crow, Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Sugarland, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band.

The show will be hosted by Paisley and Underwood. This is the third year in a row the pair have hosted the show together. Other big nominees for the night include Underwood and Paisley, as well as crossover sensations Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert and Sugarland, just to name a few.
