Taylor Swift and her ex John Mayer created "drama central" when they dined at the same restaurant on Tuesday.
The singing stars had a brief romance, which Taylor apparently referred to in her 2010 track Dear John.
John has hit out at his former flame for documenting their fling in a song and the pair almost came face-to-face at the Tower Bar in The Sunset Tower Hotel, West Hollywood.
According to New York Post, 22-year-old Taylor was about to be seated at the venue when she noticed John was at a table nearby – so the country singer asked to be moved to a different area.
"Taylor very visibly — in front of the entire restaurant — demanded to be moved to the other side," a source told the publication. "The bar's usually an oasis of calm and privacy for celebrities and power players, but this was drama central."
Other famous faces to witness the incident included Scarlett Johansson, Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield and director Nancy Meyers.
In a Rolling Stone interview released this week, 34-year-old John blasted Taylor for penning the unflattering song Dear John.
"[Dear John is] cheap songwriting… It made me feel terrible. Because I didn't deserve it," he said. "It was a really lousy thing to do.
"I never got an email. I never got a phone call. I was really caught off-guard… It really humiliated me at a time when I'd already been dressed down."
