Taylor Swift likes to spend her money on holidays with her girlfriends.
The 22-year-old American pop star has recently been announced as Forbes highest-paid entertainer under 30, earning an estimated $57 million last year.
Rather than splashing her cash on expensive possessions, Taylor enjoys spending money on the precious time she gets with her friends.
"I don't tend to spend a lot of money on the big things, like cars or jewellery," Taylor revealed to the US edition of Harper's Bazaar. "I'll rent a house on the beach or something, bring my girlfriends."
Taylor's girl pals include Disney star Selena Gomez and actress Emma Stone, who she is fiercely loyal to. Despite them all having hugely successful careers in their individual fields, when they get together they chat about normal girl stuff. Due to their ambitious work schedules, her all-star girl gang are good at long distance phone chats to catch up with each other.
"We never talk about fashion, about career, about our ambitions or our projects. We just talk about relationships, feelings, love, and boys," Taylor continued.
"I'm not used to being in a place more than two days in a row and I don't know if I have a vacation for another year. You get really good at maintaining phone relationships with people you love, because you're just not going to get to see them all the time."
While she may have her relationships with her girlfriends sorted, it's a different case with the opposite sex. Taylor recently split with her boyfriend Conor Kennedy and is always careful not to get involved with poisonous people.
"Some combinations of people are toxic, you know? You have to find the right one that isn't just going to explode into fiery ash and destruction," she continued. "Despite all of that and how unpleasant it is, as a writer you get a lot from it. It's a crazy justification system."
