Taylor Swift is terrified of ending up drinking wine alone "in a marble bathtub".
The gorgeous country singer is known for her catchy love songs and string of famous boyfriends, such as Harry Styles and John Mayer.
Earlier this week she blasted the public perception that she is a clingy girlfriend and has now opened up about what her life is really like. The 23-year-old takes her job seriously and thinks a great deal about being a good role model and staying grounded.
"What I worry about is that I never want to end up kind of a self-centred, vain human being.
"My fears circle around me making the wrong choices and messing this up for myself. I don't want to end up being awful and intolerable. Alone. Laying in a marble bathtub by myself, like sad, with a glass of wine just complaining that my life ended up alone because I pushed everyone away because I was too good to hang out with anybody," she admitted to the latest edition of British magazine InStyle.
"The typical Hollywood sad cliché of the poor lonely starlet with no one because she put up all these walls and didn't trust anyone. That's my fear. And that's why I live my life the way I live my life because I'd so much rather feel everything than end up like that."
The star is currently single, having split with One Direction star Harry at the beginning of the year.
Recently, Taylor was linked to British musician Ed Sheeran, and she admits it's difficult having male friends when your private life is constantly in the spotlight.
"I'm a girls' girl. I have guy friends, but the problem with having guy friends is, like, I always get linked to them and they'll end up in a slideshow of people I've apparently dated on the internet," she sighed.
"I mean, there's all kinds of complicated things with having guys as friends. If they have a girlfriend who doesn't like you or things like that. So I have like two or three guy friends. A select few. But I have like 20-25 really good girlfriends."
Finding Mr. Right and starting a family isn't something that preoccupies much of Taylor's time these days. She used to worry about it a lot and dreamt of having children, but as she's got older she's realised there is value in other things.
Nowadays, the star is happy to see where life takes her.
"I think [I'd like a family] but I'm not sure. Like, I don't even have a master plan," she explained. "I've thought that I did have a dream scenario before but it turns out that I change my mind and that essentially in your 20s all the puzzle pieces of your life are thrown up in the air and they just fall into whatever place and I think that's healthy."
