The 20-year-old country and pop singer hates the idea of being told off, and doesn’t do anything that could get her into hot water with the authorities, including sneaking into concerts underage.
The blonde-haired beauty is looking forward to being able to attend shows she has so far been barred from when she celebrates her milestone 21st birthday on December 13.
“That means I get to go to the concerts that my friends go to and leave me at home for. It’s sort of like, ‘Oh, we can’t bring the baby,’ because, you know, it’s a 21-and-over show. You don’t wanna be that girl where you try to get in and you’re too young to get in and they’re like, ‘Erm... didn’t you know this was 21-and-up?’ and I’m like, ‘No Sorry,’” she told American talk show host Chelsea Handler. “I have this deeply ingrained fear of getting in trouble. Of being like sent to the principal’s office of life.”
The American star’s new album Speak Now is currently available, and she has divulged she loves warming up before shows to rapper 50 Cent.
Taylor said that she, her backing singer and her fiddle-player all get together before a big performance and rehearse to the American rapper’s lyrics before they feel prepared enough to go out on stage.
“I love 50 Cent. Like, that’s my thing,” Taylor said. “When I’m on tour we have all three girls – the back-up singer, the fiddle player and me all in one room and we all warm up to 50 Cent music. And it would be surprising how many lyrics I know.”
