Taylor Swift thrilled staff by leaving a $500 tip at a Philadelphia restaurant.
The 23-year-old singer showed her generous streak by treating her friends and dancers to dinner at an Italian eatery on Friday last week. She picked up the $800 bill for the group's food and then splashed out a further $500 to show her appreciation for the waiting staff at Ralph's Italian Restaurant.
Taylor was accompanied by her celebrity pals Ed Sheeran and Austin Mahone for dinner, as well as 18 people from her tour crew. Earlier in the evening, she had performed at the Lincoln Financial Field as part of her worldwide Red Tour.
"Taylor was very, very nice," manager Ron Trombino told RadarOnline.com. "The whole group ordered off the menu, whatever they wanted. Taylor had chicken parmesan."
Ron also responded to speculation that Taylor is a generous tipper. "Yes, she left a very nice gratuity," he smiled.
While other stars may prove demanding when they are out in public, it seems Taylor was the perfect customer. She arrived with her group just after midnight and they happily tucked into their tasty meals while chatting and laughing.
"It was a very nice experience, very easy," Ron added. "Taylor was really very down to Earth."
Taylor is the latest in a long line of stars to be hailed as kind-hearted diners.
Last year Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie splashed out over $3,000 on a curry for friends and then left a hefty $1,000 tip for staff at a London eatery.
Jay-Z is really said to have splashed the cash at a Miami nightclub in 2011. After buying "bottle after bottle" of expensive champagne he reportedly tipped staff waiting on his table a staggering $50,000 at the end of the night.
