Taylor Swift is BFF's maid of honour

Taylor Swift is thrilled to be her friend's maid of honour.

The 25-year-old singer posted an adorable flashback snap on Instagram of herself and childhood pal Britany Maack, with both girls wearing cute onesies and cuddling.

And it seems congratulations are in order for Taylor's girlfriend, as she's tying the knot and has asked the Shake It Off songstress to take on a special duty.

"Taylor, You are more than a friend, you are more than a best friend. You are my sister. I cannot imagine having any one else by my side on my wedding day… Will you be my maid of honor? (sic)" Britany asked in a note written on a special piece of paper, complete with the words 'Ben & Brit' embossed at the top. The sweet message accompanies the photo of them, kept in a gold pearl frame.

Clearly ecstatic at the thought, Taylor responded with: "YEAH I WILL. (sic)"

It appeared the blonde beauty had romance on the mind over the weekend, but not in the way many would think. To celebrate Valentine's Day on Saturday, Taylor decorated a whole bunch of homemade cards to give out to various people who mean a lot to her.

One was for her mother Andrea, which had the word 'MOM' on the front in green felt tip and was surrounded by colourful flowers, while another was penned out to someone called Hannah in Australia.

"I just want to spend my life showing the people I love how much I love them, (sic)" she wrote alongside her arty upload.

Fans were overwhelmed by the gesture, with one user called swifttwain gushing: "Why are you so nice?! I love you! Will I hang out with a guy? ?? Again Im in aww of the things you do!!!! (sic)"
