'I don't think I'm going to give anybody a heads up that they are inspirations for songs on the record because they are going to know,' she said.
Swift's new record Speak Now allegedly includes a number of tracks about the chart topper's former relationships and there have been reports that one song refers to a failed romance between the 20-year-old and John Mayer.
'They are definitely going to know when it comes out, so I might as well not give them the heads up and have them be anxious for it until it comes out,' she told Access Hollywood.
'There is definitely going to be some feedback, I can assure you,' Swift quipped.
