For fans who couldn't afford tickets to Taylor Swift's Speak Now tour, the country stars offers an inside look at her theatrical live show -- twirling ballerinas, fluorescent trees and fireworks included -- in the music video for "Sparks Fly," the latest single from her best-selling album "Speak Now" which premiered on Wednesday (Aug. 10).
Directed by Christian Lamb, the clip finds Swift acting as a master of ceremonies at multiple shows, singing the heartfelt track while dancers, actors and acrobats coexist with the eye-popping set pieces. Slow-motion is also liberally used throughout the video; at the 2:32 mark, Swift greets her adoring fans, one of whom emotionally mouths "I love you!" The finale shows Swift drenched from the rain, taking a bow next alongside the Speak Now crew.
The singer previously overcame childhood trauma in the "Mine" music video and overcame bullies in the "Mean" clip. Swift has reason to thank her fans in the "Sparks Fly" video: the singer just took home five Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night, including the Ultimate Choice Award, the ceremony's version of a lifetime achievement award.
