Not only will Taylor Swift, Pink and Alicia Keys take the stage at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards next month, but they have all just been booked to appear on VH1's "Storytellers" in November.
The ladies' specials will air three nights in a row. Swift is up first on November 11, followed by Keys' episode on November 12 and finally Pink's on November 13. The timing of the specials seems perfect, considering all three women have albums dropping later this year.
"I have always loved 'Storytellers' and, as a songwriter, how much fun it is to be able to tell your stories," Pink told EW.com, adding, "Everyone has heard mine before!"
For fans wanting to get in on the action, Swift will tape her "Storytellers" in front of a group of contest winners. According to a press release, students at any accredited high school or college in the continental U.S. can enter for the chance to win the opportunity to have the Red singer tell her tales and perform for them. Fans can enter at the website. While Swift will only perform at one of the schools, the top five schools will each win a $100,000 grant to use for their music programs. The contest kicks off on August 21 and will run through September 23.
One month before that performance airs, Swifties can watch her perform her newest hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" live for the first time when she takes the stage at the VMAs on September 6. She is set to release her album Red on October 22.
As for Pink, in addition to her VMA performance, she'll drop new music on September 14 when The Truth About Love hits stores. Meanwhile, Keys will perform a brand-new track on the show, ahead of her Girl on Fire album release.
The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Head to VMA.MTV.com now through August 24 to vote for your favorites, or text BNA to 22444 to vote for Best New Artist all the way through the show!
