The Mine hitmaker, who is currently on her Speak Now World Tour, which includes a massive 99 concert dates, has been reading up on her history - especially on US political family The Kennedys.
The 21-year-old aims to broaden her horizons even further by following up that book with one about John Adams - the second US president.
She told Rolling Stone magazine: 'I just read a 900-page book called The Kennedy Women, which dates back to the lineage of the first Kennedys coming from Ireland in the 1800s.
'This morning I bought books about John Adams, [Abraham] Lincoln's Cabinet, the Founding Fathers and Ellis Island.'
