Taylor Swift's mother is apparently the driving force behind her daughter's career.
The star's mother Andrea Swift is a constant presence at the 22-year-old country singer's side. It is reportedly Andrea's influence on Taylor's life that has dictated her career and personal decisions so far, which have seen her enjoy huge success.
"You do not want to cross Andrea Swift," an insider revealed to British magazine Grazia.
"Taylor is sweet but I always feel that she's quite aloof. Andrea is very present though! If she isn't happy, she's going to say something."
According to reports, Andrea has trained Taylor to present herself with a poise normally not seen on someone so young. She is also fiercely protective of preserving Taylor's brand, and it's easy to see why. Taylor reportedly earned $57 million between May 2011 and May 2012. This saw her top Forbes' list of 2012's highest-paid celebrities under 30.
Taylor is also close to her brother Austin, who is two years her junior. She recently revealed she often goes to him when she needs help.
"One person who I go to for advice, who is a guy, is my brother. He's younger, it's weird, he's so wise!" she said.
