It's no secret that Taylor Swift has had her fair share of relationships over the years, and she has given fans a glimpse into those heartbreaks through her personal songs and lyrics.
One would think, with all her experience with love, that Swift would know the secret to a successful relationship, but when the star sat down with Cosmopolitan UK for their January issue, she revealed that there is still one thing she does not understand about relationships.
"How to make them last," said Swift, who graces the cover of the magazine. "I've never had a really long relationship, so I have no idea what that's like. Wish me luck for the future!"
Hopefully, she'll have better luck with her now rumored beau, One Direction's Harry Styles. The two have been spotted all over New York City, from strolling through Central Park to walking hand-in-hand following a night out on the town that included a stop at 1D's sold-out Madison Square Garden concert. Styles, who like Swift's former boyfriend Conor Kennedy, are both four years her junior, but according to Swift, age isn't anything but a number.
"I really don't have any rules about dating when it comes to height, age, career choice, anything like that. It doesn't matter. It's really more about strength of character. When it comes to age I've been all over the map!"

Now, Swift may not care about the age of her boyfriends, but she does admit that there is one type of guy that she just can't stay away from: the bad boys.
"I don't know. I think that idea of love I hope for is that you learn a lesson and you don't have to learn it twice. But the song "I Knew You Were Trouble" is about when I knowingly made the same mistake twice. I couldn't resist it — there's that temptation to push yourself into a risky situation with someone who is going to hurt you, and that's what that song is about: not trusting your own instincts and ignoring all the red flags."
