Taylor Swift sick of Sheeran's sword

Taylor Swift says Ed Sheeran is "obsessed" with his sword.

The British singer has been accompanying Taylor on her Red Tour and the two have become close friends.

Redheaded Ed has a very special possession he always takes on the road, which leaves his 23-year-old singer pal baffled.

"He got this sword... he went to New Zealand and got this sword. The actual [director] Peter Jackson gave him a sword from a Lord of the Rings movie," she explained to MTV News.

"And he was obsessed with it to the point where, like, he would come into my dressing room waving it and then just leave."

Jet-setting Ed even likes to take his sword on planes, which sometimes proves difficult at customs.

He recently revealed his sword started to slide during a flight and "almost impaled" Taylor.

Luckily she wasn't hurt, but she can recall the moment vividly.

"He'd just get it out on the plane and everybody is like, 'We don't know if that's OK on a plane.' It's a weapon, but it's a medieval weapon [so] we don't know, I don't know," she mused.

"But he's obsessed with stuff like that. He's obsessed with Legos. He's obsessed with swords, like axes, stuff like that. It was on the table [on the trip to Nashville] and it started to slide."

The singers are currently on the Canadian leg of the Red Tour, which will finish in Australia in December.
