Taylor Swift has been nominated for nine MTV Video Music Awards.
The 25-year-old singer led the pack when the potential honorees were announced on Tuesday ahead of the ceremony taking place in Los Angeles on August 30.
Among her nods were Video of the Year for the star-studded Bad Blood, while her video for Blank Space is nominated in both the Best Female Video and Best Pop Video categories.
Other stars to feature heavily in the nominations included Taylor's close friend Ed Sheeran.
The British pop star, who recently performed three sell-out gigs at the world famous Wembley Stadium in London, received six nods including one for Best Male Performance for Thinking Out Loud as well as Best Choreography.
Ed and Taylor will be battling it out in the Best Pop Video segment, with Thinking Out Loud and Blank Space respectively. But the pair have some tough competition from Beyoncé for 7/11, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for Uptown Funk and Maroon 5 for Sugar.
Other notable nominees for the event include Robert Pattinson's rumoured fiancée FKA Twigs, who features in the #VMAs Artists to Watch category alongside George Ezra, James Bay, Fetty Wap and Vance Joy.
The nomination announcement comes after it was revealed on Monday that Miley Cyrus will be hosting the awards.
The 22-year-old singer is certainly no stranger to the event, and famously caused a worldwide scandal with her twerking during a performance of Blurred Lines with Robin Thicke at the 2013 ceremony.
Miley cinfirmed the hosting news by posting a picture of herself dressed as an alien on Instagram.
In the shot she is seen holding two sandwich boards. One reads: "MTV won't let me perform", while the other states: "So I'm hosting the VMAs".
