Taylor's new album Speak Now has shifted 1,047,000 units in its debut week and the 20-year-old was shocked by the news.
She tweeted: 'I... Can't... Believe... This... You guys have absolutely lit up my world. Thank you.'
Swift added: 'Also smiling in anticipation of the awkward try-three-times-to-get-it-right high five between me and my producer Nathan next time I see him.'
The 'Mine' singer said she wasn't worried about trying to top her previous album Fearless.
Swift recently told MTV News: 'Well, being a natural over-thinker and over-analyser of life in general, I've kind of thought about all of that and, of course, the questions are always, 'How are you possibly going to top Fearless?'
'And, you know, the only thing that I can possibly do in life is live life, take it as it comes at me.'
