It has been announced Taylor Swift will be joining The Voice US as a guest mentor next season.
Different to a normal judge, the ‘Shake It Off’ singer will appear on one episode as a mentor, offering advice to all hopeful contestants on the show, rather than the candidates of just one judge.
As well as Swift, it has been revealed that Stevie Nicks, Bush’s Gavin Rossdale and Alicia Keys will also appear throughout the series in a similar role, which has been filled by Coldplay’s Chris Martin in the past.
This year saw a shake up in personnel in the series, with Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams joining the ranks as judges.
Swift recently made a big comeback earlier this month, premiering new single ‘Shake It Off’ and announcing her first strictly ‘pop’ album, a far cry away from her country roots.
Taylor Swift's fifth album 1989 will be releasd on 27 October, whilst the next series of The Voice kicks off on 22 September in the states.
