Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger from The Doors are to play a New Year's Eve show in London under the name Riders On The Storm, it has been announced.
The pair will be joined by Ian Astbury for a series of shows in the UK, including a pair at the Roundhouse in Camden, scene of the only Doors show to feature Jim Morrison.
The tour, which goes ahead without founding drummer John Densmore, coincides with a series of events to mark the 40th anniversary of The Doors.
There are plans for a new box set, an official anthology and a plaque, which will be unveiled at the landmark Whiskey-A-Go-Go venue in Los Angeles.
Riders On The Storm have toured as The Doors in recent years, joined by Astbury from The Cult and Stewart Copeland of The Police.
However, they were forced to change their name following a series of legal objections, including one filed by Densmore, who has not been able to play with the group because of problems with his hearing.
