The Doors of the 21st Century, the current incarnation of Ray Manzerek and Robbie Krieger, will record their Denver show this Friday and make it available for sale via download.
Fans will be able to buy the download online after the show when they get home and have it available to playback the next day.
The Doors show will be available from the Disclive website for $US20. "Each fan will receive an access code that will enable them to download and burn that night's concert at their home computer over the Internet from anywhere in the world," said Zack Bair, CEO of Immediatek. "This is a landmark event for the industry, as this is the first time a concert will be recorded and made available only through NetBurn -- and so quickly after a show."
The technology was also recently used by The Pixies.
