The Vaccines have revealed the first single from their second album, 'No Hope'. Listen below.
The single will be released on 8 July, 2012 both digitally and on 7" single. It will include a new b-side 'Blow Your Mind' as well as demo and live versions of 'No Hope'. The single was given its world radio premiere by Zane Lowe on 28 May, 2012, as he named it his 'Hottest Record In The World'.
The track is taken from the band's second album 'The Vaccines Come Of Age' which is due for release on 3 September, 2012, the follow up to the band's 2011 BRIT Nominated album, 'What Did You Expect From The Vaccines'. The band had previous revealed that they were channeling Paul McCartney on their new record, with lead singer Justin Young telling The Daily Star: "There’s a track called Bad Mood about me being moody. I started with the lyric: ‘I was at the bus stop combing my hair’ and thought it was the sh*ttest lyric ever."
"Then I played it to our producer Ethan Johns and he thought it was fun and weird, like a lyric Paul McCartney would write, so I stuck with it."
The Vaccines are due to announce a new headline tour of the UK and are also booked to play Isle of Wight, T in the Park and Reading and Leeds this summer. For more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
