Ah. Well that's embarassing. It's one thing to lose out in the ratings to an ITV behemoth like Britain's Got Talent, but when The Voice is drawing less viewers than Countryfile - that's when you know your singing competition is in trouble.
On Sunday night, The Voice drew a not-too-shabby 6.3 million viewers desperate to hear Jessie J ramble more incomprehensible nonsense, but that was 500,000 less than tuned in to watch some presenters stomp around the country in wellies immediately beforehand. It seems soggy fields are more popular than spinning chairs and Holly Willoughby's chest.
Sunday night's Countryfile featured Jeremy Clarkson dissecting owl droppings and the launch of a photography competition in Dumfries and Galloway.
Next weekend's The Voice features performances from Kylie Minogue and Cheryl Cole - so lets hope Countryfile doesn't have a feature about animals dressed as people, because otherwise The Voice will be in real trouble...
