Ontario's Tokyo Police Club release a new single, Graves, on Monday 18th August through Memphis Industries.
The single is taken from their highly acclaimed debut, full-length album - Elephant Shell, which was released 5th May. To Support the release the band play two headline shows and the V Festival in August.
Graves, which is currently being played on both Zane Lowe's and Colin Murray's Radio 1 shows, follows the band's previous single Tessellate and lands just over a year since their 100 thousand selling EP A Lesson In Crime. In the intervening time and with the release of Elephant Shell, Tokyo Police Club have established themselves as the standard bearers of bright young, literate indie rock and have performed on the Letterman Show and at Glastonbury, Coachella and the Reading & Leeds Festivals (where Win Butler of Arcade Fire provided first aid to keysman Graham from the side of the stage).
Elephant Shell received rave reviews on it's release, including the Observer exclaiming, '… there is some fine songwriting here, with hooks poking out at unexpected angles…' and the NME, '… incisive, spiky songs that take up residence inside your head almost as quickly as they conclude… '
