Toni Braxton's four-year divorce saga has officially come to an end.
The 45-year-old singer was married to fellow musician Keri Lewis for eight years before she announced their separation in November 2009.
Apparently Toni and Keri are still on good terms with each other despite their failed union.
"The couple has had an amicable split and will still both be actively involved in raising their two sons, 11-year-old Denim and ten-year-old Diezel," her representatives wrote in a statement to People magazine.
Toni spoke previously about the profound heartbreak she experienced over ending her marriage.
The star claimed she was distraught with the thought of facing life without a spouse.
"I had to figure out a plan for my life that had nothing to do with him," Toni explained during her VH1 Behind the Music TV special, which aired in October 2012. "I was angry with everybody. I couldn't believe this was happening to me. I felt that I was a person dealing with a lot of struggles and here comes another one."
In recent years Toni has faced her fair share of adversity.
Three years ago she filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy for the second time, with reports her debt ranged anywhere between $1 to $55 million.
Also in 2010 Toni announced to the world she was diagnosed with autoimmune disease Lupus. In 2012 Toni was briefly hospitalised for "minor health issues" related to the illness.
