Yeasayer played their biggest London headline show ever last night (October 21) at London Roundhouse - and were quick the hail the hall's illustrious heritage.
The likes of The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Doors and Oasis have all performed at the Camden venue in the past.
"London is like a second home to us, we have played here around 35 times," declared singer Chris Keating. "Our first ever gig was at the Barfly and I remember looking at this place across the road and thinking, 'I'd love to play there'. Thanking you for filling this place."
Later he paid tribute to the legendary acts who have performed at the venue in the past. "Pink Floyd played in here 1967 and The Doors (in 1968)," he said. "This is serious, thank you guys."
Earlier the singer kicked off the show, clutching his pet monster Bommel, which features in the video for 'Madder Red' which you can watch on the right now. It's named after Dutch footballer Mark Van Bommel.
Keating joke: "If you don't dance to this next song I'm going to quit, I'm never going play music again," before he held the mic over the crowd to sing the words to 'Ambling Alp'.
Wrapping up the show with 'Children' and '2080' the singer finally introduced his pet monster, which resembles the alien in John Carpenter's 1982 cult sci-fi classic The Thing, to the crowd.
