The 29-year-old American singer is still trying to get her head around receiving a star emblem on the Hollywood Walk of Fame alongside scores of other international greats such as The Beatles and Michael Bolton.
The blonde-haired celebrity admitted that although the award doesn’t seem real yet, she plans to appreciate the timely celebration of her work as she put so much effort into her recent film Burlesque, which co-stars fellow successful female soloist Cher.
“It’s pretty surreal. It’s pretty surreal to join a long list of incredible people and I just have no expectations walking into it, walking away from it, and I’m just there to really enjoy myself and absorb the moment because Lord knows I’ve put a lot into this movie,” she told the BBC.
Christina has recently experienced a tumultuous time in her life after splitting from husband of nearly five years Jordan Bratman, with whom she has a two-year-old son Max. She has also been busy working on her film debut playing the role of a small town girl who finds success working in a neo-burlesque bar in Los Angeles.
The gorgeous pop star admitted she danced so much in rehearsals and while filming the movie she has caused injury to her feet.
“My toes hurt, I’ve done a lot of dancing and I’m ready to enjoy myself at this point,” she added.
