Christina Aguilera may have claimed "irreconciable differences' in an official divorce filing in Los Angeles Thursday but, sources say cheating led to this divorce.
"The marriage fell apart after Aguilera allegedly cheated on Bratman," a source told TMZ, who broke news of the divorce Thursday afternoon.
Allegations that Aguilera had cheated on Bratman are not exactly new. In 2007, two years after she wed Bratman, record producer Dallas Austin claimed that he and Aguilera were involved.
Claiming she was having sex with him for "tracks"/music, Austin later claimed (in a video interview) Bratman knew what was going on.
Aguilera never addressed Austin's claims and video of that interview, baring text, has since been removed from the website it was posted on.
Nonetheless, Chrisitina Aguilera and Bratman reportedly signed a pre-nuptial agreement.
Documented in the filing, Aguilera cites the pre-nup when asking that "earnings and accumulations before marriage, during marriage and from and after the date of separation" be considered separate property. She also asks that the court terminate Bratman's potential request for spousal support.
Aguilera and Bratman married in 2005 and have a one child, a son, Max.
