The 'Not Myself Tonight' singer - who has a two-year-old son Max with husband Jordan Bratman - believes her ability to be both a mother and a working woman takes beyond average strength.
She said: "I think all of us as women have this super-human quality. We create life, we give life, we are the sources of life for our children - we're all pretty bionic."
The 29-year-old star - who recently shot her first movie, 'Burlesque', opposite Cher - is thrilled to be working again after taking a break to be with her son, but knows that Max doesn't always share her enthusiasm.
She explained: "There definitely are moments when he doesn't want me to talk about work and I very much understand that but I have to feel fulfilled in every capacity of the woman that I am."
Since becoming a mother, Christina has grown increasingly confident with her body and says appearing in 'Burlesque' gave her an outlet for her sexuality.
She added in an interview with The Observer: "For a while your body is definitely not your body and you very willingly give it up for your child, but now I feel more confident and comfortable with what my body can do.
"Plus, I'm just a very sexual person by nature - that's partly why I agreed to do the movie that I did - I just think the art of the tease is a beautiful art form."
