Christina Aguilera looks like Marilyn Monroe as she advertises her perfume

The newly single pop star showed off a curly blonde hairstyle and full red lips to promote her fragrance Royal Desire.

Aguilera, 29, follows in the footsteps of a string of stars who have paid homage to the late screen goddess.

Michelle Williams hopes to capture some Monroe magic through her performance as the Some Like It Hot star in forthcoming movie My Week With Marilyn.

Scarlett Johansson stuck a Marilyn-esque pose in a 2009 advert for Dolce & Gabbana.

And troubled actress Lindsay Lohan emulated the sexy blonde in a 2008 photoshoot for New York magazine.
