A 2012 release for Grand Theft Auto V is highly likely, according to reports.
Development on the game is said to be "well underway" according to GameSpot.
Finishing touches are currently being applied to the game by Rockstar, with mini-games currently being developed.
The scale of the game is said to be huge, with a source teasing: "It's the big one."
Rockstar are yet to confirm any details for one of gaming's worst kept secrets.
Whilst no one knows where the game will be set, it is known that back in March a a private Take-Two casting call advertised for an actor to play James Pedeaston - a character from Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
There is currently no release date set for GTA V, but on release will be available for the PS3 and XBox 360.
