Gwyneth Paltrow is creating a 33-room mansion.
The 'Two Lovers' actress and her Coldplay rocker husband Chris Martin are knocking two London properties together to create one large house, worth around £7 million.
A neighbour said: "It will be a massive house. What they have already is a substantial family home, but to double and add a bit on will make it a real mansion."
Gwyneth and Chris – who have two children together, five-year-old daughter Apple and three-year-old son Moses – bought their original house from actress Kate Winslet for £2.4 million in 2004.
In 2007, they bought the property next door for £3.1 million.
Once the two homes are merged, there will be eight rooms on the lower ground floor, six on the next level, while the first floor will boast five areas and there will be eight on the second.
There are also plans to create a two-storey extension which will house a gym, changing room, three bedrooms and a bathroom.
The neighbour added: "No-one objected as they are not going to change the outside appearance of the property and the extension is on their land and a few other houses in the street have similar add-ons."
The couple are currently living in America, but are keen for their children to go to school in the UK.
