Gwyneth Paltrow is said to be helping Beyoncé Knowles return to acting.
The two stars have been friends for years and regularly socialise as a foursome with their husbands Chris Martin and Jay-Z.
Hollywood actress Gwyneth is said to have put in a good word for Beyoncé with her godfather, legendary director Steven Spielberg.
According to sources, Beyoncé is keen to re-launch her movie career and the Country Strong star has offered to put her in touch with the famous filmmaker.
"Gwyneth is arranging a meeting and also has ideas about a mini-movie for an upcoming music video," a source told British newspaper The Sun.
While she is best known for her outstanding musical success, Beyoncé has appeared in a number of movies, including Dreamgirls, Austin Powers in Gold Member and Cadillac Records.
She last starred in Obsessed alongside Idris Elba and Ali Larter in 2009.
According to the insider, the Crazy In Love star has set her sights on meatier roles and wants to "move on" from light-hearted parts such as Foxxy Cleopatra in Austin Powers.
