Gwyneth Paltrow has blasted critics of her website, claiming they "don't get it".
The 'Iron Man' actress insists those who have been negative about Goop.com - which is dedicated to health and 'nourishing the inner aspect' - do not understand the site's message.
She said: "I think the people who are criticising it or criticising the idea of it, don't really get it, because if they did, they would like it."
The New York Times newspaper recently called Goop "fatuous and puzzling".
Toronto's The Globe and Mail newspaper queried its name, saying: "Perhaps 'Any Old Load of Rubbish' and 'Learn From Me, Ungrateful Peasant' were both taken."
Gwyneth believes much of the negativity she has encountered stems from people being jealous of her success.
She added: "I think that people like people to stay in their 'box' - they like people to stay how they are comfortable seeing them.
"There's nothing incendiary about it. I find it really interesting because it's a harmless newsletter that goes out each week."
