Gwyneth Paltrow doesn't want you to "forget" her! The awards-show regular is set to make her return to "Glee" on Tuesday night (March 8), reprising her role of Holly Holiday. This time she's going to get saucy while teaching the students of McKinley High sex ed.
On Tuesday's episode, Paltrow will put her spin on Prince's "Kiss," "Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)" by Joan Jett and Fleetwood Mac's classic, "Landslide." Paltrow's renaissance as a pop star may be surprising to fans, but her mother, "Paul" star Bythe Danner, admits that seeing her daughter belt out top 40 hits is nothing new for her.
"I never am surprised by what she can do; in my mind, there's nothing she can't do," Danner told. "And I think that after she had children and wanted to get back into acting ... I think this was very joyful thing for her to do and a great release. There's a liberating thing about singing and dancing. It's just a gift to be able to do it. She's always had the talents. She always could do these wonderful harmonies. I'm not a bit surprised. I'm thrilled, because I know what fun it can be."
In addition to appearing on "Glee," Paltrow also sang on the big screen in "Country Strong" and appeared on several major awards shows including the Oscars and the Grammys. Danner says her daughter's ability to get up there in front of people comes from her "incredible guts and courage."
"She's very, very quick," she added. "She's smart and she gets it."
