Blythe told Us Weekly magazine: "They're so perfect - truly, they are. Quite remarkable! I've just never met children like this, that are so secure and have such great self-control and self-image. They're just great kids."
The ‘Little Fockers’ actress is looking forward to spending Christmas with Gwyneth, Coldplay musician Chris and her grandchildren and she can’t wait to see what culinary delights her daughter will cook on the big day.
She said: "We'll all be together with lots of music, singing, playing games and eating food. My daughter is a great cook. She cooked five ducks for my birthday two years ago, so who knows what delicious food she'll have in store for Christmas.
"She is a fantastic hostess! She is a great, great cook. I really don't know how she does it all."
Blythe is also looking forward to one of her favourite festive traditions – decorating her Christmas tree with the shoes worn by Gwyneth and her children when they were babies.
She explained to website PopEater: “I have baby shoes from myself, my children and grandchildren, and we put them on the Christmas tree. We try to have a little record of our lives.”
