The American TV series is about a group of high-school misfits who bond after forming a singing club. It is famous for attracting big-name guest stars – such as Olivia Newton John and Britney Spears – with Gwyneth the latest to get involved.
She plays a substitute teacher who fills in for Mr. Schuester, the character played by Matthew Morrison, and had a lot of fun during filming. Gwyneth was amazed by how fast-paced the set was, which suited her enormously.
“It was tough. I'm used to a slower pace of shooting on a movie and this was frantic,” she admitted. “But I preferred it actually.”
The Hollywood star also revealed a shameful secret – she wasn’t actually familiar with the hit show when she agreed to be on it. She knew she’d made the right choice as soon as work began though, and advises other stars to follow suit.
“When I was asked to do the show I had never seen it,” she admitted. “I had heard the show was a big hit so I said, 'Yeah!'”
