It's rare to hear private couple Paltrow and Martin speak about their relationship, but now the actress-singer has opened up about her seven-and-a-half year marriage to the Coldplay frontman.
The 38-year-old Oscar-winner turned Glee singer said: 'Chris and I have our ups and downs - a long relationship takes a lot of twists and turns. We both have a lot going on so we just have to make it work.'
But Gwyneth says she is devoted to their situation and making their relationship work.
She added to Easy Living magazine: 'I am very happy to support anything that Chris is doing and vice versa.
'I think the reason it's worked so far is because we are very open with each other and communicate well.
'We try and make life as normal as possible.'
The cook-book writing star insisted that, while she likes to think of herself as a 'traditional wife', Martin, 34, is more than happy to be hands-on with their two children seven-year-old Apple, and Moses, five.
The Hollywood star added: 'We co-parent. We do it together. I don't know what the word 'strict' means.'
