Gwyneth Paltrow to Sing Cee-Lo's 'F--- You' On 'Glee'

Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow is known for her porcelain beauty and refined acting chops. But when she pops up on "Glee" in two weeks, the 38-year-old actress will be singing one of the raunchiest pop hits in recent memory: Cee-Lo Green's "F--- You."

Of course, she won't drop the f-bombs and perform the original version of the song on the episode, which airs November 16. Instead, she'll belt out the lyrically scrubbed version that's called "Forget You," according to Entertainment Weekly.

"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy recently told the BBC that Paltrow will play a substitute teacher in a two-episode arc. Murphy insisted that Paltrow, who is already renowned for her acting skills, can rip the mic as well.

"Gwyneth is a great singer," Murphy said. "She's done it a little bit, but I really want to show it off and show everyone how great she is."

Paltrow is no stranger to the music scene. In addition to crooning in the 2000 movie "Duets" and being married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, she portrays a drug-addled country belter attempting a comeback in the upcoming movie "Country Strong."

Paltrow's appearance on the hit Fox singing sensation will come a week after she makes her live television debut at the Country Music Awards, where she'll sing the title track from "Strong." Paltrow sings four songs on the soundtrack; among them is "Me and Tennessee," a duet with country titan Tim McGraw that was written by Martin.

Paltrow discussed her preparations for "Gone Country" with MTV News in May. "I had to learn how to play guitar, and I took singing lessons," she said. "It was a real challenge, but I felt like I pretty much pulled it off."
