The 30-year-old singer said that show boss Simon Cowell has made contact and that if an offer gets made, she would 'love' to take part.
She told Women's Wear Daily, 'They have definitely talked to me about X Factor. I think it would be a lot of fun.
'It's definitely my life. To be a mentor for up-and-coming artists is right up my alley. I would have loved to have a mentor. I love watching people's dreams come true.'
So far only Cowell and former Island Def Jam record label chairman LA Reid have been confirmed as judges, leaving two slots open.
