Jessica Simpson has reportedly turned down book deal offers worth millions of dollars.
The 34-year-old star seems to have a perfect life, as she created a billion-dollar fashion empire and is mother to two young children with her loving husband, retired NFL player Eric Johnson.
Apparently a literary agent recently asked Jessica to document her life as a successful business woman in a lifestyle tome, but it's claimed she decided against pursuing the lucrative venture.
"She was getting offers for between $1 million and $2 million -- or more," a source told Us Weekly magazine. "Companies wanted her to write something as dishy as possible -- about her romance with Eric [Johnson] and being a mother."
It's claimed Jessica didn't agree to the commitment because she's too busy focused on making music to do anything else.
"She's recording a new album instead," the insider noted.
Jessica's last studio album, Happy Christmas, was released in 2010 and rumours began surfacing around the beginning of this year she was keen on making another record.
Apparently Jessica, who shares two-year-old daughter Maxwell and 20-month-old son Ace with spouse Eric, was even planning to build a studio in her house so she won't be apart from her family for too long while recording new songs.
But even though she's deeply committed to her clan, it's claimed the star is eager to hit the road on an accompanying promotional concert tour for her eighth album.
"The plan is to get the new album recorded this year and go on tour the following," an insider told In Touch Weekly previously. "Jess has missed performing so much. She's very excited."
