Jessica Simpson is having a baby girl and has already chosen a "non-traditional" name for her.
The singer-and-actress is expecting her first child with her fiancé Eric Johnson. The baby is due before too long and Jessica has been spotted out and about with a large baby bump lately.
She has now confirmed she is having a girl, explaining the new arrival is expected to weigh in at 10lbs. when she enters the world.
"[We already have a] non-traditional name," she told the April edition of Elle magazine. "We're sure. We're embroidering it on things. [It's] nothing shocking and nothing you'll have to add to the dictionary… When people hear it, they'll know… why."
Jessica has enjoyed being pregnant, although certain aspects of it were initially hard for her to get used to.
The 31-year-old used to occasionally partake in hard liquor to help her unwind, and found she missed it when she quit drinking.
"Givin' up my Scotch? My Macallan 18? That was hard for me!" she laughed. "Though now… being pregnant. You crave other things. A big thing of water sounds great!"
Jessica is rumoured to be working on a new sitcom. She is also a judge on new TV show Fashion Star, in part thanks to her style empire which is said to be worth as much as $1 billion.
The series was shot before Jessica was pregnant and she recently reminisced about that time.
"It will be amazing to see myself with a waistline," she laughed. "I'll be like a big blob sitting on the couch watching myself thin."
