Joel Madden feels "amped" ahead of The Voice live shows because of their spontaneity.
The Good Charlotte rocker is a judge and mentor on Australia's version of the singing series alongside Keith Urban, Seal and Delta Goodrem. Joel loves the buzz he gets from starring on the live recordings of the hit TV talent show.
"I'm getting amped for @TheVoiceAU tonight! Live shows never get old. I love knowing anything could happen. :) (sic)" he wrote.
Joel has previously congratulated himself on his self-restraint. He took to Twitter a couple of weeks ago to boast about his ability to not curse.
"I'm so proud of myself for not swearing on live tv tonight :) I even called my mom to tell her! (sic)" he exclaimed.
Meanwhile, it's been claimed Simon Cowell has been telling wannabe singers to try out for The Voice if they haven't been successful on his show, The X Factor. According to US website TMZ, the music mogul and L.A. Reid have reportedly been trying to convince certain contestants to audition for the rival NBC show.
L.A. was allegedly overheard on set telling a singer: "If you decide to try out again, please do it on another show," to which Simon added: "Yes, the good news is I hear The Voice auditions are happening next week."
